Redlands Uptown Suite 209 Also AVAILABLE AS MONTHLY RENTAL
Redlands Uptown
A premier suite in the 1914 hotel, this area was later an executive office suite in the building's next reincarnation as the headquarters for the International & Great Northern Railroad Company. The railroad company occupied the building for 35 years and the railroad system's financial operations were conducted here.
The special suite consists of a spacious living/dining area and kitchen, one bedroom, one bath, and a covered balcony, perfect for watching the world go by. With Palestine's balmy weather, the balcony table and chairs are well-enjoyed. Guests may hear the nostalgic whistle of a train, or the ringing of ancient church bells, reminder of the building's bygone days.
Inside, elegantly appointed in classic style, with rich reds and golds, the suite has a lovely comfortable feel, from the cushy sofa and chairs to the just-right dining area.
The bedroom features a king-size bed, antique dresser and romantic lighting. Overall, the feel is of an elegant B&B, all set up for easy living.
The vintage suite has multi-level floors, part of the apartment's charm, but this may make it unsuitable for some wheelchair or disability access.
A fully equipped kitchen, including stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and
coffeemaker; HD cable TV; a radio/alarm clock; dressing mirror; hair dryer; iron; and ironing board remind you the modern world is still within reach, but do you really care?
